Since 2008 Penn State's Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center and EPIS have been working with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) to show how investing in evidence-based programs can pay off in better outcomes and costs savings for our communities.

Results First Initiative (2017-2019)

In 2017 a new partner, the Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiaitive joined this effort.  Through this new partnership it was possible to establish a Pennsylvania specific cost-benefit model.  Previous efforts had relied on the Washington State Institute of Public Policy model, which is based on Washington's population and systems data.  The final report from the efforts of this partnership was completed in the spring of 2019 and is shared below.
